My main instruments are guitar and mandolin, but love to mess around on keyboards, bass, and trying to figure out various string instruments such as the dobro, the banjo and the dulcimer.

My most recent project is an acoustic Americana duo named The Motel Brothers and we play around New England. Visit MySpace.com/motelbrothers for concert dates.

The Motel Brothers

Singer-songwriter James Bentley sings and plays guitar, bass, and harmonica, while I play mandolin, lead guitar, and sing. The tracks were appropriately recorded in a motel room, November 2008. All compositions by James Bentley.

Chai was an instrumental jazz-funk-Latin quartet in Oslo, Norway, comprised of Boris Iochev (drums and percussion), HC Bjørne (various keyboards and analog synthesizer), Einar Bergem (fretless and upright bass), and Eric Segalstad (electric guitar & mandolin). Chai had a short, but busy life playing club gigs all over Oslo. All tracks were recorded live in our rehearsal studio over two sessions in 2003.

Studio projects

I composed and recorded the soundtrack for The 27s trailer during a mid-summer night outside of Oslo, Norway, in 2007. I played mandolin, guitars, midi cello, piano, bass, keyboards, programmed drum loops and created guitar-induced white noize.
